Transportation in rural areas can be an issue, especially for those living at or near the poverty level. recognizing this, the HSCB has created a workgroup to help address the issues facing our two county area.

CHARLEVOIX & EMMET COUNTIES 10 YEAR PLAN TO END HOMELESSNESS

In the Summer of 2006, the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) asked county Continuum of Care(s) to write a “10 Year Plan to End Homelessness”, using as a framework Michigan’s Plan to End Homelessness and a Housing First model. The Charlevoix Emmet Continuum of Care, a workgroup of the HSCB, asked NorthStar Consulting to facilitate the writing of this plan.

This plan was presented to MSHDA in October, 2006

POVERTY REDUCTION
