SAFE YOUTH are at it again; making the front page of the Petoskey News Review on May 19, 2009 with the headlines "Teens spread positive message" and they sure do!
The SAFE youth have been working hard on a project to create an ad campaign with a positive message: LIFE can be exhilarating & drugs and alcohol detract from the experience. Some of the taglines the group will use include, "Teamwork: Together We Can Keep Each Other SAFE" & "Harness Life Soberly" The youth from local schools in both Charlevoix and Emmet Counties come together regularly to work on ways to get this message to their peers as well as adults in the community.

S.A.F.E. is sponsoring a Townhall Meeting on March 23, 2010 in the Community Center at The Emmet County Fairgrounds.

To identify and respond to emerging issues which require local-level collaboration the HSCB ‘takes the pulse’ of the community at intervals to assure ongoing success in its mission and support of the community.
The objective of the Needs Assessment Report is to provide accurate statistical data so qualified decisions can be made regarding the needs of the citizens who access the human service system in this community. A secondary objective of this report is to accurately reflect the priorities of community leaders across disciplines and compare those with client input.
